Instructions For The Emerson Em1200

More and more people now make most of their phone calls on cellular devices, but many homes still have landline phones. If you have a phone in your house, and you choose not to use your phone company's voice mail service, it is almost a necessity to have an answering machine. The Emerson EM-1200 is an older answering machine. It can be set up quickly, and you don't have to know much about electronics to do it.

Instructions

1. Place the Emerson EM-1200 near your home phone and an available power outlet.

2. Plug the phone cable into the input jack at the rear of the Emerson.

3. Plug one end of the included phone cable into the output jack at the back of the Emerson. Plug the other end into the phone jack in your wall.

4. Plug the small end of the included AC power adapter into the circular port at the rear of the unit. Plug the large end into an available power outlet in your home.

5. Press the "On/Off" button on the answering machine and the unit will turn on.

6. Press the "Greeting" button and you will be prompted to enter a greeting. Enter your voice greeting. You can delete the greeting if you aren't happy with it by pressing the "Delete" button.

7. Use the labeled buttons on the answering machine to play and skip any messages that are stored on the answering machine.
