If you want to remove data from a recently purchased used Samsung TracFone, or you simply want to clear everything off of your TracFone, you can do this by performing a hard reset. Performing a hard reset on the unit will clear all the data and put the phone back to its factory settings. You don't need to know much about electronics in order to perform a hard reset, and the whole process shouldn't take longer than a moment or two.
Instructions
1. Turn on the Samsung and press the left soft key at the top of the menu to access the menu screen.
2. Select "Settings" from the list of options in the menu screen.
3. Select "Reset Settings" from the list of options that appear on screen.
4. Select the settings you would like to reset. You can select "All," "Sound Settings," "Display Settings" or "Phone Settings."
5. Press the "OK" key, then press the left soft key.
6. Enter your password when prompted using the keypad. If you never chose a password, the default password is "0000."
7. Press the left soft key and the phone settings will reset.
