The JVC MG330 is part of that electronics manufacturer's line of Everio MG300 series camcorders that are designed to be solid, reliable digital video/still photo cameras with features to satisfy any amateur videographer and prices that can rival any of their competitors.
Basics
The JVC MG330 comes in silver, blue and red and uses a hard drive format for recording digital video at the standard definition (SD) resolution of 640 x 480 lines. It features a 1/6-inch 680k pixel CCD (charged-couple device) image sensor with Konica Minolta lens and 2.7-inch 16-by-9 widescreen LCD monitor, as well as 35x optical zoom and 800x digital zoom.
Capacities
The 1/8-inch 30 GB internal hard drive of the JVC MG330 stores up to 37 1/2 hours of video, or over seven hours at the highest quality recording speed, with four different speeds to choose from (ultra fine, fine, normal and economy). It records video on the MPEG-2 format and uses Dolby Digital AC3 format for audio. Up to 10,000 digital still images also can be stored.
Features/Connections
Standard features with the MG330 include a memory card slot for Micro SD (SanDisk or Secure Digital), CyberLink and Digital Photo Navigator software for Windows, remote control, picture titles, quick restart, auto illumination light and auto LCD backlight control. Options for connecting to other devices include USB 2.0 and A/V output with composite video/audio cable. The power source can either be battery or connection with the AC adapter.
