Program The Htc Touch

After activating the HTC Touch phone on the Sprint network, program the device. Programming the HTC Touch phone locks the phone onto the Sprint network and enables data and telecommunication services. It is essential to program the phone immediately after you activate the device so you can utilize your HTC Touch smart phone. Follow these quick steps to program your HTC phone to make calls and access e-mail or phone messages.


Instructions


1. Power down the phone and remove the battery. Write down the electronic serial number (ESN) for your device. The ESN is located on a sticker affixed to the inside of the battery compartment.


2. Reinsert the battery and power up the phone. Press the "Menu" button and select the option "Device Information." Enter the ESN into the appropriate field.


3. Press "##" followed by entering the 6 digit code that was provided to you when you activated the device and then press "#" again. Substitute your 6 digit code for the numbers here and enter "##123456#."


4. Select "Edit" from the equipment performance support tools (EPST) menu. Scroll down the menu and select "MDN." Press the "Menu" button then select the option "Edit."


5. Enter your 10 digit mobile phone number (MDN) and press the "OK" key.


6. Select "MSID," and then press the "Menu" key. Select the option "Edit."


7. Enter the 10 digit mobile station identification (MSID) number into the appropriate field. The MSID number is found on the activation confirmation page. Press the "OK" key.


8. Confirm the correct MSID and MDN numbers, and then press the "Menu" key followed by selecting "OK."


9. Verify your selections by selecting "Yes." Confirm the reset by pressing the "OK" key.


10. Allow the phone to sit undisturbed for four hours until the programming is complete.
