Use An Rmdm46 Fta

A satellite dish for the TV in your RV accurately determines the satellite location.

The Wineguard RV Digital Satellite System with Digital Elevation Sensor RM-DM46 is a satellite dish unit for TV in your RV or trailer. The unit features a satellite alignment meter to accurately determine the satellite location and to tune the TV receiver. The elevation sensor helps to get the antenna close enough to detect and pick up FTA (free-to-air) satellite signals at their peak.

Instructions

1. Step outside and away from your vehicle to determine the north direction. Return to the vehicle and set the directional dial to "North."

2. Turn on the receiver and TV. Tune the television to channel 3 or 4. Go to the "Signal Meter" screen, using your receiver manual for instructions.

3. Enter the nearest ZIP code for your location using the receiver's remote control. Note the numbers for "Azimuth" (compass directions) and "Elevation" on the screen.

4. Determine the number of turns needed for each elevation from the chart below. Turn the elevation handle "Clockwise" to raise the antenna, or turn the elevation handle "Counterclockwise" to lower the antenna, according to the chart.

5. Press the button on the Winegard Digital Display Wall plate to show the "LL" (low limit) or "HL" (high limit) dish position.

6. Raise the antenna to the "Elevation" number for your location, using the elevation handle.

7. Slowly rotate the antenna until the correct satellite signal is acquired, and move the antenna left, then right, until the position that gives the highest signal strength is found.

8. Place the rotation clamp in the "LOCK" position to prevent any antenna movement and loss of the signal.
