Use An Ipod As A Stopwatch

You can use an iPod as a stopwatch while you listen to music that you have stored on the machine. The iPod's extra features allow you to keep track of your lap times and even help show your progress as your lap times improve. You can exercise while listening to your favorite tunes or catch up on a few podcasts all while keeping a record of your best times with iPod's stopwatch feature.

Instructions

1. Press any button to turn the iPod on. When the iPod is turned on, you should see the main menu.

2. Use the click wheel, the large button under the view screen, to move down the list of menu options. Stop when you have highlighted "Extras." This will pull up an accessory menu.

3. Move through the options on the accessory menu with the click wheel and highlight "Stopwatch." Press the center button, which is inside the click wheel.

4. Select "Timer" using the click wheel and the center button, which will pull down a menu of options for the timer. Highlight the "Start" button to begin using your iPod as a stopwatch.

5. Use the "Lap" feature to keep track of your lap times. The iPod will show you the total time you have been using the stopwatch as well as previous lap times.

6. Click on the "Pause" button to temporarily suspend the stopwatch timer, and highlight and select the "Resume" button to restart the stopwatch.

7. Click on the "Done" button when you are finished using your iPod as a stopwatch. You can choose to save the times you recorded with the stopwatch.
