A Picture To A Contact On The Motorola Razr

It is not uncommon to have several friends with the same name in the contact list of your cell phone. The problem is not being able to tell right off the bat who you are talking to. You can simply ask once you answer your phone, but it would make it so much easier and comfortable to know who it is right away. Add a picture to your contact list so you will know who it is when your phone rings.

Instructions

1. Locate the contact that you wish to add a picture for. You can easily find the contact you want to edit by pressing the button at the bottom right hand area of the screen labeled “Contacts.” When you push this button you will be taken to your contact list. Scroll through using the directional pad to find the contact you wish to update with a picture. Highlight the contact that you wish to update.

2. Click the “Edit” button at the bottom left of the screen. This will take you to an edit mode for the contact you have chosen. Using the directional pad, press the down button to scroll down the fields until you have reached the field marked “Picture.” You will have to initially pass the "mobile," "home," and "work" number fields as well as the "email" field to arrive at the desired destination. Once you have highlighted the picture field then press the “Set” button at the bottom left of the screen. This will take you to all of your pictures.

3. Scroll through the pictures using the directional pad above the number keypad. You can scroll up, down, right and left. Once you have the picture highlighted that you want to use, then click the “Ok” button. If you do not have a picture of your contact simply use the camera on your phone to take a picture right then, or ask someone to send you a picture message with a contact picture saved within the message.

4. Click the "Save" button to save all of the changes that you have made. In this edit mode you can also add or edit any other fields you want to at this time. You can also add a ringtone to the contact to help you identify who it is without you having to look at your phone. Adding both a ringtone and a picture will help you identify who is calling much easier than you would without any of these settings.

5. Open up the contact that you have just edited and added the new picture. Scroll down to the picture you have added and make sure that it is the picture that you selected and want to use. You can always use other pictures besides the contact’s actual picture to signal who it is, just be sure that you remember what picture you assigned to that contact.
