Reset A 3g

The iPhone 3G, Apple's 2nd-generation smart phone, was released in 2008. The iPhone 3G has two different storage capabilities, the 8GB and the 16GB, both initially priced $100 less than the original iPhone's counterparts. Some of the improvements of the 3G were assisted GPS and the inclusion of the App store in the operating system. Apple discontinued manufacturing the iPhone 3G in June 2010 and did not include it in its 4.0 operating system upgrade. Sometimes the iPhone 3G will freeze and the "Force Quit" command will not work, making it necessary to manually reset the iPhone.

Instructions

1. Press and hold down both the "Sleep" and the "Home" buttons. The "Sleep" button is located along the top of the iPhone on the right-hand side. The "Home" button is located on the front of the iPhone just under the screen.

2. Wait until the red shutdown graphic disappears and the screen goes black.

3. Let go of the buttons when the Apple logo appears on the screen. The iPhone will have reset itself and will restart.
