The ION audio company makes a USB turntable that can convert the audio from a vinyl record into a digital signal that can be recorded by a computer. The USB turntable must be connected to a computer, Mac or PC, in order to transfer the audio to the computer's hard drive through an included audio program. The digital file can then be played on a portable device like an iPod or burned to a CD for playing in a home theater or car's CD player. The ION USB turntable can also be connected to a home theater for listening to vinyl records directly through your speakers.
