Convert A High Speed Sd Card To Compactflash Card

An SD card is very small compared to a Compact Flash card.

A high speed SD (Secure Digital) card is smaller than other media cards, although it's functionally the same when in use. Converting an SD card so that it can be used in a device designed for Compact Flash cards requires an adapter. This can be purchased from a computer or electronics store and enables the data from the SD card to travel through the Compact Flash connection.

Instructions

1. Hold the SD-to-Compact Flash adapter in your left hand, with the SD connection facing to the right. Hold the high speed SD card in the other hand, with its connection pins facing to the left.

2. Insert the connection pins of the SD card into the SD connection slot on the SD-to-Compact Flash adapter. Push the SD card in firmly.

3. Insert the Compact Flash connector on the free end of the SD-to-Compact Flash adapter into the Compact Flash connection slot of a device designed for use with a Compact Flash card.
